About Me

Matt Bramuchi serves as the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools. He has been teaching for over two decades. Though his career began in higher education, a strong desire to make a deeper impact on the lives of young people led him to transition to K-12 education. Matt currently resides in Madison, MS. He has taught a wide variety of subjects including biology, microbiology, genetics, marine and aquatic science, chemistry, robotics, engineering, algebra, and business. Matt served as the Science Department Chair at Madison-Ridgeland Academy for nine years, where he was also named STAR teacher three times and the Ashley Robinson Teacher of the Year. He was also honored by the Greater Jackson Chamber in its distinguished Metro Teacher Recognition Program. He is also a graduate of the MAIS Leadership Institute. In addition to serving various roles in professional organizations and associations, Matt is an educational writer, speaker, and podcaster. He also spends a great deal of time tutoring students in science, math, and standardized test preparation. He coaches in martial arts, personal training, music, and ultimate frisbee. He firmly believes that relationship-building, coaching, fostering intrinsic motivation and curiosity, and making real-world connections are the keys to being successful with students of any age or ability.
